A little faith will save your soul
not much to get you in
where many came before you did
admitting of their sin

where God was far away in life
one didn’t seem to need
a personal friend and savior
of holy words to read

but when God starts to prick a heart
one knows that He is real
and then one tries to justify
the sins He will reveal

it’s when one has to face the truth
that one must make a choice
living foolishly until one dies
or believing the Lord’s voice

through hearing God’s word faith shall come
it lifts one deep inside
stirring about burning within
this seed of hope resides
____
no scholar does one have to be
but humble as a child
accepting truth upon God’s word
God’s way is meek and mild
____
salvation is based on one’s faith
what Jesus bought for you
and that is love above all else
giver of life renewed
